Custom-made Children’s Book

The “We Love” book was created to celebrate my best friend and her husband becoming parents. I love them both dearly and I wanted to create something special for their family. It was a labor of love but I am over the moon with how it turned out.

Each page represents something the parents love and each letter of the item spells out their last name. The book concludes with a portrait of them and their newest addition.

The Process

The style of art is mix between collage and painting. I create a paint color, brush it on paper, cut the shapes out, and assemble them with glue.

After I completed each page by hand, I scanned them. I made a few digital edits before uploading them to the production site.

The Final Book

I used a company called Artifact Uprising to produce the book. The general layout is modeled off of their baby board book template. They produce the highest quality of photo prints and books (in my honest opinion). When this new product came out, I jumped on the opportunity to make something great. Check it out!
