9 Things about Joanna
I want to remember everything. So, I’m sitting down and writing 9 things about my 9-week old baby.
1. Loves being wrapped up with Mama.
I really like the Solly wrap. It’s lightweight and breathable for summer. Some moms say it’s too hard to figure out (it looks like a big piece of fabric), but I don't think it’s difficult at all. I use it for on-the-go adventures with Benji and in the evenings when she’s sad and I need to cook dinner.
2. Great at breastfeeding.
This is a big one. Breastfeeding was difficult with my firstborn so I can’t tell you how grateful I am for this quality. She eats anywhere and latching is no problem for both of us.
3. Hates swaddles but tolerates the Love to Dream one.
My firstborn also hated swaddles so we ditched them 2 months in. For Joanna, the Love to Dream swaddle is a game-changer. She gets her hands and I get more sleep.
4. Likes to look around when being held.
This overstimulates her but she loves it.
5. Big cheeks.
I tell her she can eat all she wants if it adds to her adorable cheeks.
6. Tries to use a pacifier but drops it constantly.
Maybe she’ll get better at this?
7. Good at falling asleep solo if she’s in her sleep window.
I love how independent she can be about sleep. She does this the best during morning naps.
8. Smiles at mama (especially during nighttime feedings).
If I have to be awake during the night, a smile definitely helps.
